Manhattan Sound Big Band Review

It was a pleasure to see St.Paul's Church, Mirfield full to capacity on October 19th to listen to the Manhattan Sound Big Band and Nicki Allan. The church was buzzing when the band began to play. Both the band and Nicki were superb, the acoustics were brilliant and the band chose an excellent selection of music.

It was obvious by the reaction of the audience that they were enjoying the music. Nicki sang a mixture of old standards and modern songs which everyone thoroughly enjoyed, the comments from the audience as they left St Paul's with smiles on their faces were all praising the band, Nicki and the venue.

A week later and Mirfield people are still talking about the Manhattan Sound Big Band evening with Nicki and what a wonderful evening it had been.

We would like to thank everyone who helped to make the evening a huge success.

Ray & Pat, St Paul's Church Committee.
