NICKI ALLAN

As well as touring and recording throughout the year, Nicki is actively involved in a broad range of educational activities: Nicki is a member of the British Voice Association and the Musicians Union and is an Educator at many of the countries leading Colleges, Conservatoires and Schools. 

Her specialisms are Jazz and Pop singing, developing confidence and artistry in young and not so young singing voices combined with strong technique ethics and skills associated with singing in a broad repertoire of styles. 

Basic skills covered in lessons include improvisation, phrasing, harmonization, sight singing, theoretical music knowledge, repertoire and stagecraft.

Royal Northern College of Music – Principal voice teacher and previously External Examiner on the Foundation Degree in Session Musicianship

Leeds College of Music – Lecturer in Pop/Jazz Vocals, Ensemble studies tutor, Choir Director on the BA Music Degree Course.
